11:30 - "The importance of health tourism and the competitive advantages of Madeira regarding tourism"
Graduated in Business Administration and Management, with postgraduate degrees in Gestão.Com and Strategic Management and Tourism Development
On a professional level, after some experience in the private sector, joined the Regional Secretariat for Tourism and Culture of Madeira, in 2002, as Head of Division for the Financial and Heritage Management department. From 2011 to 2015 was nominated Promotion Director, at the Regional Directorate of Tourism, being, at the same time, a Member of the Board for the Madeira Promotion Bureau.
Afterwards, until October 2017, held the position of Head Director of Information and Touristic Projects, being responsible for Tourism Information, which includes not only the Madeira Tourist Information Offices’ management as well as projects and initiatives’ development towards the enhancement, qualification and enrichment of the touristic product. Additionally, from 2015, is a Guest Assistant Lecturer at Madeira University.

With 25 years of experience in the ICT market, Mafalda Alves Dias believes in the power of reimagining our lives with technology.
She is currently responsible for the commercial area of the Large Business and Public Sector at Vodafone Portugal, after having spent 3 years in São Paulo as Head of Integration and Communications Development for several countries in Latin America.
Previously, she carried out various functions at both Vodafone Portugal and the Group, in different areas such as Credit, Finance, Operations and Marketing.
Analytics Centre of Excellence Lead - CELFOCUS
João graduated on “Telecommunication and Software Engineering” at Instituto Superior de Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa (Lisbon).
He has started is professional career in 2009, working in the Business Intelligence and Analytics area since then.
During this his career, he had the chance to work in projects for different markets, such as Telecommunications, Financial Services or Energy, and was engaged in several activities such as development, team leading and technical architecture design.
Today he is a Specialist in the Analytics area of Celfocus, responsible for the Analytics Centre of Excellence and leading the Analytics Architecture team
Tiago graduated on “Telecommunication and Software Engineering” at Instituto Superior de Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa (Lisbon).
He has started is professional career in 2007, since then he has always worked in the Business Intelligence and Analytics area.
He has been involved in several sectors such as Telecommunications, Financial Services, Government or the Energy Market. While delivering projects in these areas, he was engaged as program manager, project manager or technical architect among others.
Today he is a Senior Manager in the Analytics area of Celfocus with account and delivery management responsibilities of Analytics solutions for several markets.
LG ELECTRONICS
Paulo Bernardo, 51 years old, food engineer with initial training and current psychology student.
Most of his life he was a business manager, being administrator of the WIFI4MEDIA company, a company specializing in customer service management, digital signage and WIFI networks.
His activity is divided between Portugal and Brazil
João Pedro has been Head of Integrated Health Solutions Portugal, a division of Medtronic, since 2019.
He is currently responsible for the implementation of Medtronic Innovation, Research and Development Hub in Portugal.
He has worked as a Health Manager for the last 15 years, developing new hospitals and managing current hospitals.
He is also an invited teacher at Universidade Católica Portuguesa
André Barbado leads the Healthcare Innovation team at Roche Diagnostics Portugal, a team that aims at co-creating Health Innovation based on the integration of consulting services, digital solutions, new business models and strategic partnerships.
He worked as a strategy consultant, before spending several years within Sonae SGPS leading the Corporate Intelligence Team, acting as Chief Economist and as Secretary to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
André holds a BA in Economics from ISEG, a Master from the Faculty of Economics of Universidade do Porto and an MBA from the Lisbon MBA Program
